ADMISSION RULES:
1. Candidates who passed Higher Secondary Examination (or) Central Board of Secondary Examination (or) Senior School Certificate Examination (or) Councilof Indian School Certificate Examination (or) Examination held by other State Government(10, +2) are eligible for doing UG courses.
2. Before admission applicants should make as many photo copies of their certificates as they need.
3. Students should behave decently and should maintain the dignity and decorum of the college.
4. After admission, School Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate will not be given back under any circumstances

Instructions for Students:
Conduct
1. All the students should come to the college every Monday by wearing the Uniform dress as fixed without fail. All should attend the Monday assembly- prayer.
2. Students shall wish every teacher with due respect.
3. Teacher shall greet the students with smiling face while entering the class room.
4. Studetns dress code should be neat and modest.
5. Female students are permitted to wear only saree (or) Chudidhar with shawl.
6. Only modest costumes are allowed. Waring T- Shirts, Sleaveless dresses and jeans are strictly prohibited.
7. Everyday during the first hour the class teacher should explain a verse in Thrukkural for the benefit of students.
8. Students should not come late to the class. Making noise in the classroom is strictly prohibited. They shall make use of Library during leisure hours.
9. College campus should be kept clean and tidy.
10. Students shall leave the class room only after the Staff- memberhas left the class room (or) with his/her permission.
11. All the students have to wear identify card inside the College campus.
12. Eve teasing and ragging of any type are totally prohibited.
13. Each student shall read information placed in the college notice board regularly.
14. Without Principal’s permission there shall not be any circular in the notice board and also students shall not have membership in any organization

Leave and Attendance Rules:
1. All the students should attend the classes on all the working days at correct time.
2. Studetns shall apply for leace to the Princial through the HOD before taking leave.
3. The application for leave duly signed and countersigned by the parents and head of the department should be submitted to the Principal who has the authority to grant leave.
4. Reason for applying leave should be stated in the leave form.
5. If a student fails to explain the reason for applying leave then the leave shall be cancelled.
6. The name of the students who were absent for ten (or) more days continuously without prior permission will be removed from the roll.
Every working day has two sessions with 3 working hours in the first session and 2 working hours in the second session. Students have to give their attendance during each working hour.
7. Students who come late by 15 minutes in the first hour shall go to the Library.
8. Attendance Certificate will not be issued if the conduct and academic performance of students are not satisfactory (or) if they are absent for three fourth of the number of working days in the academic year. They should have 75% attendance in a semester.
9. Those who attend the classes for less than 54 days in a semester have to repeat the whole semester as per the University norms

Internal Exam Rules.
1. Three internal exams will be conducted for each subject.
2. All the students are advised to attend all the three exams.
3. Best of the three will be considered for awarding internal marks.
4. Assignment, seminar and Quiz marks are also added for internal marks.

Applying for Semester Examinations
1. Applying for semester examination will be issued through the website mkuniversity.org
2. Students name, roll number and subjects shall be specified in the application form.
3. Students are advised to check their names in the form. If there is any spelling mistake then they shall apply for correction to the Principal through the H.O.D. Then corrected and filled application will be sent to the Controller of Exams.
4. Application also with the fee receipt dyly signed by the Principal must be submitted to the controller.
5. While filling up the application forms, subjects must be encircled.
6. Applications received after the last date will be rejected

Hall Tickets
1. Hall tickets for university examinations obtained from the controller of exams, M.K. University office will be issued one week before the commencement of examination by the college.
2. Students shall bring their hall tickets and wear identify cards during examinations.
3. If a student failed to bring hall ticket during examination then he/she must seek special permission from the controller/ Exam Chief Superintendent to attend the examination. Fine will be collected from him/her.
4. Students who missed their hall tickets shall get duplicate hall ticket by paying Rs. 100
